Nightmare journey home for BAD tutor

Marooned at home in the floods is one of the tutors from the Worcester learndirect centre which is provided by Business Advice Direct (BAD).
Nicky Wells left the centre at 4pm on Friday and didn’t manage to get home until Saturday afternoon after a nightmare journey during which her car floated along a road and she was soaked to the skin.
Now back at her home near Tewkesbury, Nicky is stranded without water to drink or wash, there are fears power supplies will be cut, her car won’t start and she can’t even buy a pair of wellies because local shops have run out! (more…)
New Accolades for Business Advice Direct!

Rapid responsiveness and immaculate learner files have scooped two more awards for Business Advice Direct (BAD) - the Derbyshire-based provider of learndirect centres across the country.
At the Learndirect East Midlands Provider Event, held at Belton Woods Golf & Country Club, there was a surprise awards ceremony to recognise good practice – and BAD centres at Lincoln, Derby, Leicester and Kettering jointly scooped two awards!
Tim Grant and Dave Grasham from BAD Lincoln, which was closed by flooding earlier this month, collected two scrolls on behalf of BAD’s four East Midlands based centres. The scrolls – one for maintaining fastidious learner files and the other for responsiveness to learners’ needs – were signed by May Surgeoner, Regional Performance Director of Ufi, the organisation behind learndirect. Thriving Northern Moor learning centre

Business Advice Direct (BAD), the Stockport-based company which provides learndirect centres across the country, has won plaudits for its revitalization of the centre at Northern Moor.
Graham Whitehead, Regional Performance Director of UFI, the organisation behind learndirect, was impressed by the enthusiastic and positive response he received from BAD when looking for a learndirect service provider to deliver into Northern Moor, which is a deprived area of Manchester. (more…)
