Everything you need to help you find work is available now at Business Advice Direct’s learndirect centres in Ashton, Stockport, Sheffield and Darlington.
Writing a CV, handling interviews, completing gruelling application forms and searching for jobs are all made easy by the Employability course, which takes around four days to complete and is usually spread over two weeks.
The employability package features learndirect online learning, tutor-led sessions and group training to provide the skills and knowledge that will help you become more employable.
The course is held in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of Business Advice Direct’s learndirect centres - and gives you the chance to chat, learn with and learn from others who are also looking for work.
In addition to the course there is the chance to spend some extra days brushing up on Maths or English if necessary (which can be agreed with your tutor at the start of the programme).
And if you’re claiming lone parent benefit, you may be eligible for an additional £15 a week payment and financial help with child minding whilst you are training. Speak to your advisor who will tell you all about the help you can get!
