Fire Safety
A certificated, short online course of about 6 hours duration that covers basic and generic Fire Safety matters at work. The course can be accesses and completed either at home, at work or both.
This online course is free of charge to any employee who undertakes this as part of a Literacy package designed to provide individuals with an opportunity to gain a National Certificate in Adult Literacy. The course can be undertaken at our IT suite as a workshop subject to minimum number of delegates.
Module 1: Basic Fire Knowledge: Fire Triangle, consequences of fire, fire resistance, fire doors/exits, action in event of alarm/fire.
Module 2: Basic Fire Knowledge Plus: How to use Fire extinguishers, classes of fire, fire resistance, law, dealing with disabilities.
Module 3: Night Staff: Checking workplace and premises, action in event of fire.
Module 4: Fire Marshall: Duties and action in the event of fire.
