Health & Safety
A certificated, short online course of about 6 hours duration that covers basic and generic Health and Safety matters at work including sections looking at specific work areas. The course can be accesses and completed either at home, at work or both.
This online course is free of charge to any employee who undertakes this as part of a Literacy package designed to provide individuals with an opportunity to gain a National Certificate in Adult Literacy. The course can be undertaken at our IT suite as a workshop subject to minimum number of delegates.
The course can also be delivered as a one day trainer led workshop, subject to the required minimum number of delegates.
Module 1: Health & Safety Basics: What is Health and Safety? Responsibilities, basics of law, Health and Safety policy.
Module 2: Health & Safety Advantages: Costs and benefits, a healthy safe workplace.
Module 3: Health & Safety in Practice: Risk assessment, types of accidents, accident reporting and first aid.
Module 4: Hazards & Accidents: Common hazards, types/prevention of accidents, controlling hazards, reducing risk.
Module 5: Health & Safety: Kitchen.
Module 6: Health & Safety: Office/Reception.
Module 7: Health & Safety: Housekeeping.
Module 8: Health & Safety: Maintenance.
