Job Description

Job Title:      Accounts Administrator

Work Base:    Head Office – Grimsby

Hours of work:     Part-Time – (12-16hrs, flexible)

Remuneration:     £ 16-18k pro-rata depending on qualifications and experience

Responsible to:     Financial Controller

Main Purpose of Job:

Business Advice Direct Ltd is a multi-regional training provider, delivering Government funded training. We are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Administrator to support the Financial Controller with the accounting and administrative functions of the Company and its associated businesses.

Essential Requirements:

•    Qualified or working towards AAT qualification or qualified by experience
•    Experienced user of Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll
•    Good all-round knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications
•    Excellent written and oral communication skills
•    Must posses enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude
•    Ability to work effectively with other team members

Key Responsibilities / Main Tasks

Accounts & Administrative Duties
•    To action Sales, Purchase & Nominal Ledger and Banking functions including utilisation of Sage 50 Accounts and other bespoke internal systems
•    Assist with the compilation of monthly Management Reports and financial forecasts
•    Bank reconciliations
•    VAT returns
•    To gather weekly Life in the UK income figures, enter onto accounts and report to Senior Managers
•    To carry out administration of CSCS applications and maintain up to date records, and answer related enquiries from colleagues and learners
•    Reconciliation of Petty Cash for all centres
•    Maintain filing systems
•    Order stationery and other requirements for all centres

Personnel Duties   
•    Weekly and monthly payroll using Sage Payroll
•    Administration & monitoring of staff expenses
•    To maintain personnel files, staff holidays and sickness calendars

Procedural  
•    Maintain centre information for leases, insurance policies, utilities, photocopier contract, etc

Other Ad-Hoc
•    Holiday cover for Financial Controller
•    Attend BAD training and team building events
•    Other duties as required in line with position
