- Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week - must be flexible to cover business needs
- Remuneration: £18 - 22k + performance related bonus (OTE £30k +)
- Holidays: 25 days per annum, Jan - Dec, plus statutory bank holidays
- Responsible to: Head of Sales
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To generate new business from own lead generation and some warm leads. To maintain and develop new and existing business customers through the sales of our learndirect and other e-learning portfolios. To generate sales of other products including Customer Service, IT, Business Improvement Techniques and Health and Social Care NVQs. To develop and manage excellent working relationships with external partners such as job centreplus and other organisations as directed by the company to generate enrolments in line with company targets.Based from one of our Regional Centres or from home, you will be required to travel on a regular basis to attend meetings, training and Head Office. You will, therefore, need your own transport and a full driving license.
CANDIDATE QUALITIES:
The ideal applicant will have previous sales, training and perhaps management experience and have the ability to identify sales opportunities for our existing products, recommend new products based upon fact finding and be able to present ideas and new concepts to senior personnel in large and small organisations.Experience of working within the e-learning, business support, learndirect or commercial training environment would be a distinct advantage. Tenacity, good sales and negotiation skills, flexibility, creativity and good communication skills plus attention to detail are all paramount.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To initiate and develop profitable new business sales
- To develop and maintain profitable relationships with existing clients
- To generate and manage profitable relationships with external agencies such as job centres and other agencies as directed
- To achieve targets both through the learndirect portfolio and other via other e-learning products
- To be a proactive member of our sales team with a creative approach to generating business and identifying new opportunities and products
- To provide timely and accurate feedback from all sales leads, appointments and cold calls
- To develop knowledge of the product portfolio and maintain that knowledge through changes to products, systems and procedures
- To maintain accurate and timely sales reports
- To develop and maintain a respectful working relationship with colleagues and to promote all Business Advice Direct policies
- Represent Business Advice Direct in a professional manner at all times
