Marketing Assistant

  • Job Title: Marketing Assistant
  • Work Location: New Mills
  • Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week – Between 8am & 6pm, occasional weekends
  • Remuneration: £15,000 to £20,000 depending on experience
  • Holidays: 25 days per annum plus Bank Holidays
  • Responsible to: Managing Director
  • Main purpose of job:

    Business Advice Direct Ltd is a multi-regional training provider, delivering high contract values of Government funded training. We have also recently entered into the training venue and hospitality market and are planning to launch an online mobile communications business shortly. We require an experienced Marketing Assistant to help take our business to the next level by injecting flare, enthusiasm and drive into various projects, old and new. The ideal candidate could be a graduate looking for a dynamic company to start with, or an experienced Marketing Assistant looking to move to showcase and develop their talents more effectively.

    Essential Requirements:

    • Computer Literate
    • Confident
    • Ability to work effectively with other team members

    Key Attributes/Responsibilities:

    • Online Marketing
      • Proficient or willing to become proficient with PPC (Pay Per Click) systems such as Google A Adwords or Yahoo Search Marketing;
      • Understanding Google Adwords and how their Adsense programme works;
      • Experience in campaign management and analytics (via Google Analytics);
      • Understand geo-targeting, Page CTR and Page e-CPM to accurately quantify campaign success
    • Mailshots
      • Creation of accurate mailshots, both traditional paper-based and online
      • Ability to follow up on mailshots through outbound telephone calls
      • Promotional Material
        • Have the ability to create eye-catching, inventive and interesting marketing materials to promote a variety of products and services, including conference facilities;
        • Promotion of learndirect courses, including the Business & Management portfolio
      • Managing Databases
        • Ordering of online databases
        • Maintaining the databases using Contact Management Software (Act! Or Excel)
        • Data-mining, including finding and tracking data effectively
        • Statistical analysis and reporting
      • People Skills
        • Helping out at training/conferencing events;
        • Introducing training and training facilities to groups at Bridge End;
        • Networking and the ability to monitor/research the competition.
