NVQ Assessor/Verifier
- Job Title: NVQ Assessor/Verifier
- Work Location: Regionally Based
- Hours of Work: Mon - Fri, 9.00am to 5.00pm, although some flexibility may be required working in line with employers and their staff.
- Remuneration: £18 - 22k Per Annum depending on experience.
- Holidays: 25 days per annum, Jan - Dec (plus statuatory bank holidays)
- Responsible to: NVQ Manager
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
As the successful candidate you will undertake assessment and internal verification of a portfolio of learners undertaking their NVQ qualifications. You will be expected to implement and administer all assessment and internal verification procedures. You will support, train and guide learners and develop their skills and abilities with regards to assessment and verification. You will have experience in planning, controlling and implementing NVQ programmes, as well as the ability to assess and verify as well as the ability to collate, analyse and evaluate information.Based from one of our Regional Centres, you will be required to handle your own case load and travel on a regular basis to attend meetings, client sites, our learning centres and Head Office. You will, therefore, need your own transport and a full driving licence.

CANDIDATE QUALITIES: (DESIRABLE)
- Qualifications:
- NVQ level 3 teaching/training qualification or experience in similar role.
- IT qualifications such as ECDL, CLAiT, MOS or ITQ
- Holder of NVQ in Customer Service, Care, BIT or IT
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience of Awarding Body administrative software (City and Guilds/OCR).
- Demonstrates knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement and administer all assessment and internal verification procedures as laid down by the QCA Code of Practice
- Support, train and guide learners and develop their personal and professional attitudes, skills and abilities with regard to assessment and verification.
- Guide and support learners as to the required evidence for NVQs in Customer Service, ITQ or BIT and to make judgements about that evidence.
- Assess candidates for NVQs in Customer Service, ITQ or BIT and provide feedback demonstrating a clear understanding of minimum requirements for competence.
- Liaise with other assessors, internal verifiers and the NVQ Programme Manager
- To work closely with the internal and external sales teams, providing information, support and guidance through the NVQ process.
- To provide the company with up-to-date information relating to the delivery of NVQs across our current network.
- Attend assessor/IV meetings to discuss assessments and related issues and update own knowledge and skills.
- To have the ability to potentially train assessors within BAD.
- To act as an Internal Verifier, subject to the necessary training.
- To work with the Senior Management team in building added value into our NVQ training plan, particularly with Customer Service workshops.

- The post holder will be required to carry out such other duties as may be determined from time to time within the general scope of the post. Duties and responsibilities outside the general scope of the post will only be required with the further consent of the post holder.
