Training Sales Executive
Job Title: Training Sales Executive.
Work Location: Field based covering Greater Manchester, the East Midlands and South Yorkshire.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week – must be flexible to cover business needs.
Remuneration: Negotiable basic salary to £25K + bonus (anticipated minimum £35K in the first year with no bonus cap).
Holidays: 25 days per annum, Jan – Dec, plus statutory bank holidays.
Responsible to: Deputy Chief Executive.
MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:
To initiate and develop business to business relationships, generating sales from our training portfolio with an emphasis on NVQs utilising funded opportunities through Train to Gain, learndirect and commercial portfolios.
Home based, or possibly working out of one of our local centres, the position will require travel on a regular basis to attend sales appointments, meetings, training programmes and occasionally to our Administration Centre in Grimsby. You will, therefore, need your own transport and a full driving licence. Travel costs will of course be reimbursed.
CANDIDATE QUALITIES:
The ideal applicant must have proven sales experience, be a confident self starter in an autonomous role, capable of excellent time management, negotiation and organisation skills. The successful candidate must be able to manage cold calling (telephone usually) and obtain sales appointments from these calls. Candidates with experience of selling NVQs, particularly within the funded arena such as Train to Gain, will be guaranteed an interview. Experience and/or knowledge of other training (e.g. IT and business and management) would also be an advantage.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To generate sales appointments from cold telephone calling (data supplied).
- To organise and manage sales appointments in a logical, geographically cost effective manner.
- To professionally and successfully deliver NVQ sales (key priority) via own leads (and some provided leads) with companies of all sizes and sectors.
- To develop and maintain profitable relationships with existing clients
- To achieve agreed targets.
- To be a proactive member of our sales team with a creative approach to generating business and identifying new opportunities and products.
- To provide timely and accurate feedback/reports from all sales leads, appointments and cold calls.
- To develop knowledge of the product portfolio and maintain that knowledge through changes to products, systems and procedures.
- To develop and maintain a respectful working relationship with colleagues and to promote all Business Advice Direct policies.
- Represent Business Advice Direct in a professional manner at all times.
